What is the Enneagram?
Do you ever find yourself thinking “Why do I always do that?” or “Why do they always do that?”
The Enneagram is a powerful and dynamic personality system that describes nine distinct and fundamentally different patterns of thinking, feeling and behaving, helping you to answer these common questions
It’s not understanding what we do but why we do it which creates real change in our relationships, families, leadership, spiritual lives, personal journeys and so much more.
This understanding opens up our transformation process in a way that isn’t momentary but long lasting and will continue to give you profound and life long knowledge for change
WHY WORK WITH AN ENNEAGRAM COACH?
Finding your Enneagram type is just the beginning of the journey
Once you have found your type, you’ll be wondering what to do with this new found understanding of yourself and how you can put what you’ve discovered into practice.
Working with a trained and qualified Enneagram professional will help to support you with expert, outside insight and understanding, giving you tools for change specific to you and your Enneagram Type. You will learn the unconscious patterns that are holding you back from being the truest version of who you are. You will also begin to compassionately understand how other people see the world, the key to improving relationships of any kind

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT?
Working together is a partnership that requires both people to be empathic, honest and non-judgemental. It isn’t all about you talking and me saying ‘mmmhmmm’ nor is it about me telling you what you should do. You can expect a lot of listening but also a lot of helpful insights as we look at how your Enneagram type is affecting the way you think, feel and behave in whatever situation you bring to coaching. You can expect to feel challenged and uncomfortable even but with that you can expect joy and laughter too

WHERE WILL WE MEET?
Most sessions will take place over Zoom at a designated time and date that suits you. This means that you don’t have to travel, saving you time and money. It also means that you don’t have to be based in London or even the UK to meet. If, however, you are living locally to East London you may be able to book in person

WHAT’S INCLUDED IN THE SESSION PRICE?
I’m glad you asked! A typing session lasts 90 minutes and a coaching session lasts 60 minutes. This, however, isn't the only thing your session includes as I will always follow up via email with some notes for the session and some light ‘homework’ to help you carry on your journey outside of our sessions. I also spend a lot of time reading, researching, writing and attending training courses in order to give you the most up to date, cutting edge Enneagram coaching

IS COACHING SIMILAR TO THERAPY?
Enneagram coaching is not the same as therapy. There may be similar themes and issues that come up in coaching, however if I feel there are certain issues which would be more beneficial to be processed in therapy with a qualified professional therapist, then I will always be honest about this. If this were to happen within our coaching sessions you could either use coaching alongside your therapy or come back to coaching at another time.
overview of the 9 types
-
TYPE 1 : THE MORAL PERFECTIONIST
I live with strong internal standards and I expect myself and others to live up to those standards. It is my mission in life to improve the world, whether this be; how the bed should be made or fighting for the rights of others. I can be highly self controlled, critical and even perfectionistic which can make me feel irritated. I can be a lot of fun when relaxed, which is usually after the to-do list is complete.
-
Type 2 : The helper
I focus a lot of my time and attention on caring for others. Caring for others gives me a sense of satisfaction and makes me feel good. I am a generous and warm person and I find making friends easy. I like to think that often people are drawn to be friends with me. With all this helping others, I can easily find I forget to look after my own needs and I can find it really hard to ask for help - maybe because I like to be the helpful one
-
Type 3 : The Achiever
I am a driven and highly competent person. I don’t often admit it, but success and being recognised for my achievements is very important to me, which makes me very competitive. This can mean that I can focus on how I look to others whether through my appearance, how I sound or what achievements I have under my belt. I think that I am very good at motivating and encouraging others, making me a successful leader
-
TYPE 4 : THE INDIVIDUALIST
I am a creative, unique and authentic person. I worry that something is missing but I’m not quite sure what it is I need to find. I am able to see all that is beautiful in this world in a way which others don’t seem to be able to and I have a kinship with a range of emotions from the highest of highs to the lowest of lows. This can sometimes lead to me feeling overwhelmed and often misunderstood as being 'overly emotional'.
-
TYPE 5 : THE INVESTIGATOR
I have a strong need to be capable, competent and knowledgeable. Obtaining in depth or vast amounts of knowledge helps me feel secure, for me knowledge is power and there’s something very satisfying about knowing more about something than someone else. It’s important to me that I know when I’ll next get time to withdraw from the world and spend time alone as sometimes it feels like the world demands too much of me.
-
TYPE 6 : THE LOYAL SKEPTIC
I am a very faithful and loyal person, whether that be too friendships, work or romantic relationships. I have a frequent tendency to think about worst case scenarios. Knowing everything that could go wrong in any given situation helps me to feel secure and prepared. I have a suspicion and distrust for authority. For me, authority shouldn’t be trusted until it’s been proven trustworthy, after which I’ll be there until the end.
-
TYPE 7 : THE ENTHUSIAST
I am a fun, energetic and optimistic person. I struggle with indecision as there are always so many avenues that I am interested in and want to take. Because of this I feel like I am constantly missing out because I can’t do everything at once - although I’ll certainly try!! I have a strong desire to be happy and I don’t like uncomfortable, painful feelings so I’ll see a silver lining in every cloud to avoid feeling sad.
-
TYPE 8 : THE PROTECTOR
Truth, authenticity and integrity are very important to me therefore I say it as it is - I honestly don’t see the point in beating around the bush. I have a strong need to protect myself and others which means that I need to be strong and in control, especially if I am advocating for others. This can make it difficult for me to show my vulnerable side and be vulnerable with people unless I really trust them and feel comfortable with them.
-
TYPE 9 : THE PEACEMAKER
I am a warm and friendly person who gets along with almost everyone. I don’t like conflict and therefore I avoid it by keeping the peace. I do this by going with the flow, not wanting to voice my own preferences in order to not rock the boat. I have very rarely been angry but if I were I would probably withdraw and hope that you would notice.
